SEC Championship Game Score: Cam Newton Strikes Again, Auburn Up 21-7

Stay connected for news and updates

Man, oh man. I'm not sure what the South Carolina Gamecocks can do to stop Cam Newton because he is on fire. After forcing South Carolina to go three-and-out, the Auburn Tigers took over and wasted no time to add seven points to their lead as Newton threw a 54-yard touchdown pass to Darvin Adams to give the Tigers the 21-7 lead with 2:09 left in the first quarter.

So far in the game, Newton has thrown for 183 yards or two touchdowns while Adams has caught for of Newton's seven passes for 139 yards and one touchdown. The touchdown play was a hitch-and-go and South Carolina had a blitz on. But the defensive back for South Carolina bit on the play fake which led to Adams being wide open for Newton.

It's safe to say that Newton is on fire right now and it seems as if nothing can stop him. But stranger things have happen in SEC Championship games, so well see if South Carolina can bounce back in the second quarter.
