Left-handed reliever Eric O’Flaherty was activated and will be available in the Braves bullpen today.
O’Flaherty has a 2.30 ERA over 31.1 innings this season. O’Flaherty will be used in more strenuous situations than Michael Dunn was, who was demoted to triple-A Gwinnett as expected. Dunn had a 0.00 ERA in O’Flaherty’s absence, but his walk total was higher than his strikeout total which says he was getting a bit lucky. Dunn will be recalled when the rosters expand in September.
