Jonathan Babineaux Suspended For One Game

Stay connected for news and updates

Best possible news for Jonathan Babineaux and Falcons fans: the team’s top defensive lineman is only going to be suspended for the season’s first game. Via atlantafalcons.com:

Defensive tackle Jonathan Babineaux has been suspended without pay for the team’s first regular-season game.

Babineaux’s suspension begins Saturday, Sept. 4. He will be eligble to return to the Falcons’ active roster on Sept. 13 following the team’s Sept. 12 game against the Pittsburgh Steelers … Babineaux is eligible to participate in all preseason practices and games.

Commissioner Gooddell was able to contain his banhammer this time, but the weapon grows thirsty. We’ll assume Babineaux won’t try his luck again any time soon.
