Florida To Wear Nike Pro Combat Unis Against Georgia

Stay connected for news and updates

The Gators unveiled their 2010 Pro Combat alternate uniforms today. They plan to wear them Oct. 30 in Jacksonville against Georgia. You can wait for the Nike web site's really chuggy presentation spectacular of every team's ensemble to load, or you can just click to see photos of the Florida helmet and jersey.

Nike went all-out on concept unis this year, giving the Gators alligator scale patterns, Virginia Tech black (to represent their Corps of Cadets) with computer stuff all over, Alabama houndstooth, and TCU frog scales, while West Virginia takes the cake with a chimney sweep getup paying tribute to the region's coal miners. More on each concept on each team's page, or a brief rundown here.

If last year's Cocktail Party is any indicator, wearing special uniforms for the occasion might not be the best idea.

Last year's models, downright conservative by comparison.

Alligator Army's verdict: stupid.

Spencer Hall likes the gloves.
