Bacarri Rambo Injury: Georgia Football Safety Expected To Miss Spring Practice

Bacarri Rambo, starting safety for the Georgia Bulldogs, will more than likely miss the final two weeks of spring practice after spraining his MCL this week according to Marc Weiszer on Twitter.

Rambo started every one of Georgia's 13 games last season, registering a team-leading 82 tackles to go accompany his three interceptions, three pass break ups and three forced fumbles on his way to named to the All-SEC Third Team as well as being recognized as Georgia's Most Improved Player on defense.

With Rambo out, Jakar HamiltonShawn Williams and Marc Deas will all be given more time to show they deserve consideration as starting safeties when the Georgia football season begins on Sept. 3 at the Georgia Dome against Boise State.

"You want everyone to know the plays because you never know if somebody might go down - just like, for example, Rambo went down," Hamilton told the Atlanta Journal Constitution on Friday. "That gives opportunity for me and Shawn to come up and get more plays at the safety position. So come game time if somebody goes down we don't have to rely on just one person. We can rely on other players that can come in and have the same effect."

Considering both Hamilton and Williams were spot starters last season, it can't hurt that they'll both be given more repetitions for the rest of this spring to prove they belong.
