Trinton Sturdivant Injury: Third Torn ACL In Georgia Tackle's Career

Trinton Sturdivant has unbelievably suffered the third torn ACL of his Georgia Bulldogs career, according to Seth Emerson and others. He'll have to undergo his third knee surgery in his time on campus after sustaining the injury in Saturday's scrimmage.

The offensive lineman, who at one point this offseason strongly considered entering the 2011 NFL Draft, should be able to receive a sixth year of eligibility. In Sturdivant's place, redshirt junior A.J. Harmon could be the most likely candidate to emerge as the team's starting left tackle.

The North Carolina native has had a tough playing career after breaking through as a 2007 SEC All-Freshman teamer and appearing on the national freshman lists put together by Rivals and Scout. You'll also recall him as the most visible member of Georgia's 2007 end zone dance in the team's game against the Florida Gators.
