California PG David Travers Commits to Georgia State Basketball

According to San Diego blogger J. Bodie De Silva and confirmed by my sources Georgia State basketball received their second verbal commit for the 2012 recruiting cycle in La Costa Canyon HS (CA) Point Guard David Travers today.

Travers is a 6'1, 165 pound point with tremendous quickness, improving range and is a very good ball handler.  He moves very well without the ball and has an excellent feel for the game.  Can get to the basket with either hand and is fearless despite his size.  He will definitely need to get stronger but his speed will let him overcome that early.

Travers joins SG/SF RJ Hunter in a 2012 class that is expected to be as large as six players. The Fall signing period begins on November 9th.

Junior Highlights:

Note: *La Costa Canyon HS is 209 miles away from the campus of Cal State Bakersfield where former Panther head coach Rod Barnes is now coaching.
