Site Reports Texas A&M Joining SEC; Continue To Treat Rumor As Rumor

Stay connected for news and updates

Pay-walled Rivals site AggieYell.com is reporting "the [Texas A&M] Aggies have cast their lot with and have been accepted by the Southeastern Conference." This comes after a couple days in which the long storyline finally got its first few bits of actual information, so plenty of A&M fans were primed to react to just about anything, and there it is.

Take it for what it's worth, which is a story you're probably not going to read since it's pay-walled. Team Speed Kills reacts in ten-foot-pole fashion to the report.

If nothing else, this report should accelerate somewhat the news process, as every A&M beat writer and blogger is now hustling to find something to either confirm or deny. Not that they weren't anyway. You know. Still, we've yet to see anything out of the SEC to suggest the interest is reciprocal.

For more SEC, join Team Speed Kills. And for more Texas A&M, head to I Am The 12th Man.
