At the close of Saturday's action at the PGA Championship, five Americans sit atop the leaderboard. Brendan Steele and Jason Dufner are tied for first at -7 each. Keegan Bradley is in third place at -6 overall, Scott Verplank sits at fourth place with -5 and Steve Stricker sits at fifth place with -4.

Four golfers put up rounds of 4-under or better on Saturday. The day's most impressive round came from David Toms, who shot a 5-under 65 and moved up 45 spots. He is tied for eighth place heading into the tournament's last day.

Three other golfers- the aforementioned Brendan Steele, Charl Schwartzel and Ben Crane- posted totals of 4-under 66 on Saturday. Steele used his 4-under performance to move up from seventh place at the beginning of the day and secure a tie for first with Dufner. Schwartzel jumped 31 spots and is now tied for eighth, holding -2 for the tournament. Crane, meanwhile, jumped 40 spots and is tied for 13th with -1 overall.

The PGA Championship is headed for an exciting final day of action on Sunday as only three strokes separate the top five contenders.
