2011 NFL Supplemental Draft Scheduled For Monday, Featuring Terrelle Pryor

The NFL has set this coming Monday as the date for the 2011 Supplemental Draft and released the names of the players that they have deemed eligible. That list includes former Georgia running back Caleb King as expected, but the big name is Terrelle Pryor, whom the NFL deemed eligible Thursday morning. Pryor is eligible, but the NFL has ruled that he won't be able to play or practice with the team that drafts him for the first five weeks of the season, which mirrors the suspension he was facing at Ohio St.

The six players eligible for the draft are Pryor, King, former Western Carolina cornerback Torez Jones, former Northern Illinois safety Tracy Wilson, former Lindenwood University defensive end Keenan Mace, and former North Carolina defensive end Michael McAdoo.

The Falcons might have some interest in McAdoo, just to bring some depth to the defensive line, but when dealing with the supplemental draft, you always have to assume that a team won't make any moves because only 40 players total have been selected since the Supplemental draft started in 1977.

Before the draft beings, teams will submit the names of players from the eligible players list that they are interested in, and what round they would like to pick them in. Each player will be awarded to the team that has them ranked in the earliest round. The team will then lose the corresponding pick in the 2012 Draft next April.
