2011 NFL Supplemental Draft Scheduled, Caleb King Not Yet Declared Eligible

Stay connected for news and updates

Will there be a supplemental draft this year? Until today, the fates of Ohio St. Buckeyes QB Terrelle Pryor and Georgia Bulldogs RB Caleb King had been a mystery, as the second-chance draft hadn't even been confirmed by the NFL, let alone assigned a date.

Good news! The ... well, Pryor and King still don't know whether they'll be eligible for selection, but at least the hypothetical event now has a date, according to Chris Mortensen:

League notifies teams of supplemental draft date of Aug. 17 but no players have been declared eligible ...yet. Stay tuned.less than a minute ago via TweetDeck Favorite Retweet Reply

King is highly unlikely to be drafted, while somebody out there is going to take a chance on Pryor.
