Around the perimeter of the Atlanta sports world.

Why, say there, Matthew Ryan, what are your hopes for the Falcons' offense this fall?
Last season, the Falcons didn’t ask Ryan to air it out often. They might now.
"We just have to make plays when they are there," Ryan said. "When we have opportunities to make explosive plays we have to make them."
What's that, Roddy White? FOUR verticals, you say?
"I can tell you this, you’re going to see a lot more downfield throws,’’ White said. "We’re going to try to stretch the field as much as possible. We’re going to try to get big chunks of yardage. We’re going to get some explosive plays and make this thing a whole lot easier."From the first day of training camp, I think Matt’s thrown more deep balls than he ever has. We’re working on it. That’s nothing but a good thing.’’
Yeah. Sure. Except we all know it's a delicate camoflauge to surprise the entire league when you hand it off twice to Turner and then hit Gonzalez on a two-yard curl on third down. Mike Mularkey is a master of codes.
