This isn't entirely surprising, but it's still a pretty weird story. According to Jason La Canfora, Ohio St. Buckeyes QB Terrelle Pryor isn't yet eligible for the 2011 NFL Supplemental Draft, but Georgia Bulldogs RB Caleb King is. See for yourself!
NFL sent memo to all teams on eligible players for Supplemental Draft- Pryor from Ohio State is NOT on the list. Caleb King from Georgia is
The Buckeyes appeared to be making an effort to ensure Pryor's eligibility for the draft by recently banning him from the program, but apparently didn't go the whole nine like King himself did via his academics. However, Pryor could still be added to the list of draftable players.
Basically, this announcement means there won't be much of a supplemental draft this year unless Pryor joins, because King is a very long longshot to earn even a seventh-round selection based on how long it took experienced free agent running backs to get picked up.
I mean, Noel Devine is still out there. If you're going to take a risk, wouldn't you rather take a flyer on Devine?
