Former Atlanta Thrashers Assistant Coach Brad McCrimmon Killed In KHL Plane Crash

Brad McCrimmon, who was an assistant coach with the Atlanta Thrashers from 2003-2008, is feared dead in a Russian plane crash that killed a majority of the KHL team Lokomotiv. Confirmation on a passenger list is forthcoming, but it believed that former NHLers Ruslan Salei and Pavol Demitra were also on board.

McCrimmon was beginning his first season as head coach of Lokomotiv. He most recently was an assistant coach with the Detroit Red Wings.

Forty-three people are now reported as dead, with two survivors.
