Few bowls have a higher expected point total than the 2012 Sun Bowl between Georgia Tech and USC.

After opening as 9.5-point favorites, the USC Trojans are favorites by the same margin for Monday's Sun Bowl against the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets, according to the latest numbers from OddsShark.

Despite a disappointing 2012 season for the Trojans team that opened the season as the Associated Press's No. 1 team in the nation, USC still ranks as an upper echelon offense, scoring 34.2 points per game. The Yellow Jackets average even better than that, with 34.5 points per game.

The two potent offenses have made oddsmakers set the over/under for the game at 64, one of the highest marks for any bowl game. That mark opened at 66, though, and has since dropped two points in most sportsbooks.

Georgia Tech finished 6-7 overall after losing the last two games of the season, but received a waiver from the NCAA to remain bowl eligible. USC finished 7-5 overall, but also lost the last two games of the season.
