The Atlanta Hawks take a 59-54 lead over the Memphis Grizzlies into halftime of their third preseason contest of the exhibition season.
Anthony Morrow and Al Horford have 11 points each for the Hawks who shot 53 percent from the floor in the first half. Atlanta has a decided advantage at the free throw line in the first half making 16-23 attempts. Ivan Johnson has eight points while Lou Williams added seven in the first half.
Mike Conley leads all scorers with 12 points including 3-3 shooting from three-point range. Jerryd Bayless came off the bench to score 10 while Rudy Gay and Marc Gasol finished the first half with nine and eight respectively.
As was the case in Atlanta's first two games, head coach Larry Drew decided to juggle his starting lineup. Against Memphis Drew opted to send out Jeff Teague, Kyle Korver, Damian James, Ivan Johnson and Zaza Pachulia. Morrow came in and has split time between the shooting guard and small forward position. Pachulia is seeing his first action of the preseason and has two points and four rebounds in just over nine minutes of playing time in the first half.
