Defensive tackle Toby Johnson, regarded as one of the top-ranked recruits from junior colleges, will make an official visit to Georgia. Johnson is a 6'5, 310-pound defensive tackle who plays for Hutchinson Community College in Kansas.
Since playing for Hutchinson, Johnson has received 31 scholarship offers, according to Michael Carvell of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. The main reason that Johnson is considering signing with the Georgia Bulldogs is because of head coach Mark Richt:
"Yes, I know for a fact that Georgia is going to get an official visit," Johnson told the AJC.
"I definitely feel good about Georgia. They are one of my top schools. I've got a real good relationship with coach Mark Richt. I feel like he's a player's coach."
Johnson attended prep school at the Atlanta Sports Academy after he graduated from high school. He has already made one official visit to the Oklahoma Sooners and is also being pursued by the Tennessee Volunteers, the Miami Hurricanes and the Mississippi Rebels.
