The Boston College Eagles have outscored Georgia Tech 14-3 since halftime and the Yellow Jackets' lead now stands at 31-17 in the fourth quarter.
It looked like the Yellow Jackets might deliver the final blow coming out of the locker room as BC's Andre Williams lost a fumble on the kickoff out of halftime. But Georgia Tech settled for a 32-yard Justin Moore field goal instead to put their lead at 31-3.
That would be the last time that the Yellow Jackets put up points in the third quarter, with Moore later missing a 41-yard field goal.
Boston College QB Chase Rettig hooked up with wide receiver Alex Amidon for a 40-yard score late in the third, then added another on a 12-yard touchdown pass to tight end Chris Pantale. Rettig was also able to get the two-point conversion on that second score with Rettig finding wide receiver Johnathan Coleman.
Georgia Tech got the ball again and was driving toward midfield with about 13 minutes left.
