Falcons vs. Eagles, week 8: Nate Allen returns to Eagles practice

G. Newman Lowrance

The Eagles return to full strength in advance of taking on the undefeated Falcons.

The Philadelphia Eagles appear to be quite healthy as they prepare to host the Atlanta Falcons this weekend. All of the players on the Eagles' roster were active in practice on Wednesday. Philadelphia is coming off a bye week and seems to have gotten healthy during the time off.

The best news for Philadelphia is that safety Nate Allen participated in practice today. Allen injured his hamstring in Philly's overtime loss to the Detroit Lions in Week 6. Philadelphia also saw the return of defensive tackle Mike Patterson, who has missed the beginning of the season after having off-season brain surgery. Patterson participated in 10-on-10 drills on Monday. Wednesday was his first day back as a full participant.

"He’ll do a little bit more today," Eagles head coach Andy Reid told CSN Philly before practice. "We’ll just see how he does putting the pads on today, so he’s taking that next step. Mike’s got three weeks to get himself ready to play. Won’t play this weekend for sure."

The other Eagles listed on the injury report, but practicing, included Colt Anderson (knee), safety Kurt Coleman (shoulder), long snapper Jon Dorenbos (ankle), defensive end Phillip Hunt (calf) and right guard Danny Watkins (ankle).
