In leading the Georgia Bulldogs to a 6-1 start overall and a 4-1 start in SEC play, junior quarterback Aaron Murray has grown into something of a leader in his third season behind center.

Murray, who has passed for 1,914 yards and 16 touchdowns, however admits to taking the "fake it 'till you make it approach" to leadership, as he told the Macon Telegraph on Thursday.

"Especially as a quarterback, I've gotta make sure I have a high energy level, no matter what's going on in my life," Murray told the Telegraph. "I've gotta make sure I go out there every day in practice, running around and screaming, having fun, making sure guys are ready to go."

Georgia's coaching staff was equally impressed with Murray's leadership in 2012, as Bulldogs coach Mark Richt was quick to praise his quarterback.

"Everyone feeds off the quarterback, especially game day," Richt told the Telegram. "If he's playing well and you look in his eyes and he looks like he's confident, then he's under control, and he's doing the things you need to do to win, then I think everybody feeds off the quarterback on game day."
