With one quarter in the books in this SEC struggle, South Carolina is absolutely dominating the Georgia Bulldogs with a 21-0 lead.
The Gamecocks got the scoring party started on their opening drive when they moved the ball 76-yards on only five plays. QB Connor Shaw found WR Damiere Byrd for a 42-yard strike before hooking up with WR Bruce Ellington for 20-yard touchdown.
Following an Aaron Murray interception on his first attempt, South Carolina scored once again with a steady 11-play, 69-yard drive that ended with Shaw finding TE Rory Anderson for the touchdown.
When the Bulldogs got the ball back, their bad luck would continue. After forcing a quick three-and-out, South Carolina return man Ace Sanders picked up his muffed punt and returned it 70 yards to give the Gamecocks a three score lead.
With action now in the early second quarter, South Carolina is driving again with the ball around the fifty. Stay tuned for continued quarterly updates.
