The Georgia State Panthers fall to 0-6 on the season after a 44-21 loss to New Hampshire Saturday at the Georgia Dome.
New Hampshire jumped out to an early 7-0 lead before the Panthers tied the game with a 54-yard Ronnie Bell touchdown pass to Albert Wilson. Things went south for the Panthers from there as the Wildcats scored 31 unanswered points over the second and third quarters to take control of the game and extend the lead to 38-7. Ben McLane threw two fourth quarter touchdowns to round out the scoring for Georgia State.
Andy Vallas had a big day for New Hampshire completing 18-35 passes for 252 yards and four touchdowns. Nico Steriti rushed for 126 yards and a score while Jimmy Owens added 120 yards rushing of his own. The Wildcats piled up 624 yards of offense in the game.
Ben McLane completed 10-19 passes for 169 yards with two touchdowns and an interception. Ronnie Bell got the start but completed just 3-9 passes for 74 yards with a touchdown and an interception. Donald Russell rushed for 45 yards while Albert Wilson caught three passes for 105 yards and a score.
Georgia State hits the road next week for a matchup with Rhode Island.
