The Atlanta Falcons lost to the New Orleans Saints on Sunday, but star wide receiver Roddy White says the team gave it to them

After the New Orleans Saints snapped division rival Atlanta Falcons' undefeated start to the season on Sunday, Falcons star wide receiver Roddy White declined to give the Saints any credit in their 31-27 victory.

The star wide receiver told reporters, including D. Orlando Ledbetter of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, that the Falcons 'gave' the game away to the Saints and were unable to take advantage of their opportunities.

"It doesn't say much about us about us. I think we had opportunities today. It's not like they came out here and just. ... I feel like we kind of gave it away. We just gave it to them. It wasn't nothing they did. It was what we did in not cashing in on opportunities. We play them against in three weeks and we'll be ready. It will be at the Dome and hopefully we'll beat them that time."

Despite his earlier comments, White did give credit to cornerback Jabari Greer, who broke up a fourth-down pass attempt inside the end zone with 1:46 left to play, turning a potential go-ahead score into a turnover on downs.

"He made a heck of play," White said. "He came underneath. He read it right. He dove in there and knocked it down. Good play by him."

Now 8-1 on the season, the Falcons will head back to Atlanta and begin to prepare for the visiting Arizona Cardinals. Atlanta will get another opportunity to beat their divisional rivals, as Sunday was the first of their two annual meetings, but will have to wait until Week 13 to get that chance.
