After clinching the SEC East with a win over Auburn, Georgia is once again ranked No. 5 in the BCS.
Georgia clinched a spot in the SEC Championship Game on Saturday, dismantling Auburn, 38-0, at Jordan-Hare Stadium. With the win, the Bulldogs check in at No. 5 in this week's BCS standings.
Georgia is one of six SEC teams ranked in this week's standings, all of whom are in the top ten. After suffering its first loss of the season, Alabama fell from the top spot to No. 4. Florida and LSU are ranked Nos. 6 and 7, respectively. Following its upset of the Crimson Tide, Texas A&M jumps seven spots to No. 8. South Carolina checks in at No. 9.
At 10-0, Kansas State is the new No. 1 this week. Oregon and Notre Dame, also 10-0, are ranked second and third. Florida State rounds out the top 10.
The Bulldogs still have an outside shot at reaching the BCS Championship game, although they'll need help. They would need to win their final three games, including a likely SEC title game date with Alabama, and have two of the top three teams lose before the end of the regular season.
