The Eagles will welcome the Bears to Statesboro on December 1st for a second-round matchup
The Georgia Southern Eagles will take on Central Arkansas at home in the first round of the FCS playoffs, with both teams officially earning a berth in the 20-team playoff field on Sunday.

Appalachian State also made the playoff field, and will take on Illinois State in second-round action.
The UCA Bears, the Eagles' opponent in the Dec. 1st matchup in Statesboro, Ga., reeled off a 9-2 season this year, winning the Southland Conference with a 6-1 record that edged the Bears past Sam Houston State, who also finished 6-1 in conference.
