College Football Injuries: Key Bulldogs still dealing with injuries

Right guard Chris Burnette and running back Richard Samuel sit out Georgia's game on Saturday.

The Georgia Bulldogs were without starting right guard Chris Burnette because of injury in their blowout victory over the Georgia Southern Eagles from Sanford Stadium — one of a few injuries the Bulldogs are dealing with as the season winds down.

Burnette was still nursing a left shoulder injury that had kept him out of the better part of two games after suffering an injury in the first half against the Ole Miss Rebels, according to the Atlanta Journal Constitution. The Bulldogs would eventually beat Ole Miss, 37-10.

Running back Richard Samuel also did not dress for Georgia's showdown with FCS Georgia Southern, as he continued to deal with an abdominal strain. Samuel had not missed a game because of the injury, but was forced out of Saturday's victory.

Adding to the injury report was fullback Merritt Hall, who left the game in the first quarter with an ankle injury that has been bothering him most of the year. Hall returned, but was visibly hobbled by the ankle.
