Cowboys Vs. Falcons Injury Report: Peter Konz likely to fill in for Garrett Reynolds

Dale Zanine-US PRESSWIRE

With the veteran guard Reynolds on the shelf, Wisconsin product Konz will get his second consecutive turn in the starting lineup.

Atlanta Falcons offensive lineman Peter Konz is likely to pick up his second consecutive start this Sunday with veteran Garrett Reynolds out due to back woes.

The Falcons (7-0) will turn to Konz as they look to preserve their perfect record when they take on the Dallas Cowboys (3-4). The former Wisconsin Badger held up well in Week 8's 30-17 Falcons victory against the Philadelphia Eagles, and Falcons blogger Jay Adams reports that head coach Mike Smith was very pleased with the rookie's performance. Atlanta selected Konz in the second round of the 2013 NFL Draft.

Elsewhere on the Friday injury list, defensive tackles Jonathan Babineaux (knee) and Vance Walker (illness) are both listed as questionable, and star linebacker Sean Witherspoon is out because of an ankle injury. The Falcons will have the services of wide receiver Roddy White, despite a back injury he's dealt with this week.

Here's the current injury list for the Falcons.

Player Position Injury Status
Jonathan Babineaux DT Knee Questionable
Matt Bryant K Back Probable
Kevin Cone WR Groin Out
Drew Davis WR Hamstring Probable
Harry Douglas WR Ankle/Knee Probable
Garrett Reynolds OG Back Out
Vance Walker DT Illness Questionable
Sean Witherspoon LB Ankle Out
Roddy White WR Back Probable
