Aaron Murray looking for his 3rd straight win over Yellow Jackets

Aaron Murray is seeking his 3rd straight victory over Georgia Tech when the Bulldogs meet the Yellow Jackets on Saturday.

Many may question whether the annual Georgia-Georgia Tech game is in fact a rivalry considering the Bulldogs recent dominance in the series. After all Georgia has won 10 of the last 11 matchups with the only loss coming in 2008 in Paul Johnson's first season as head coach of the Yellow Jackets. That was also the last Georgia team that was led by someone other than Aaron Murray at quarterback.

Murray threw for 252 yards and four touchdowns in last seasons' 31-17 win over the Jackets. Despite the Bulldogs' recent dominance, he thinks the series is clearly still a rivalry:

"This is a very hated rivalry," quarterback Aaron Murray said. "When you get on the field there's going to be a lot of trash talking. It's fun though. Our guys definitely enjoy this game. It just means so much to this team, to the university, to everyone inGeorgia. I don't think you can overlook it and look by it. I know I'm pumped up, excited. I woke up Monday and excited it's Tech week. I'm going to be ready to go and I know my teammates will too."

Murray helped lead the Bulldogs to a 42-34 win in 2010 while throwing for 271 yards and three touchdowns. Georgia will be looking for another big performance from Murray on Saturday against the Yellow Jackets.
