Georgia Tech will be without one of its biggest offensive weapons as Orwin Smith will sit the game out with an ankle injury.

Georgia Tech's task against Georgia just got a little more difficult as they will be without running back Orwin Smith who is not in uniform.

Smith sat out practice all week with an ankle injury that he suffered against Duke. Paul Johnson refused to declare Smith out for today's game throughout the week but the ankle isn't ready and Smith will instead try to get ready for the ACC Championship game next week.

Smith has rushed for 673 yards and five touchdowns this season while averaging nine yards per carry. He is also a receiving threat and a factor in the return game. Johnson indicated earlier this week that a variety of players would have to step up if Smith was unable to play against the Bulldogs.
