Falcons vs. Cowboys update: Michael Turner burns 'Boys for TD, giving Atlanta a 13-6 lead

The Sunday Night stalemate has potentially ended in Atlanta after Michael Turner led the Falcons offense to their first touchdown of the game with a three-yard rush across the goal line.

Even more impressive, however, was the run that set up that touchdown. On first and ten from the Atlanta 35, Turner took a hand-off in the backfield and turned that into a game-breaking 43 yard dash down the sideline.

The Cowboys also began the second half with a respectable ground game, including runs of 15 yards and 18 yards by Felix Jones and Lance Dunbar respectively.

But an incomplete pass to Miles Austin followed by a combined Jonathan Babineaux / John Abraham sack effectively ended Dallas' scoring aspirations on their first possession, and the following drive proved no more fruitful for Tony Romo's offense.

The ensuing possession began with promise for the Falcons as well, with Matt Ryan completing four of his six passes for 66 yards, including two to Roddy White for 46 yards.

Matt Bryant continues his kicking struggling, missing his second field goal attempt of the night after not missing a kick all year.

But at this point, fans and players alike have to be thankful that Atlanta's running game finally showed up. Perhaps rookie Peter Konz, who is making his second start of the season, has made more of an impact than pundits realize.
