Georgia State lost yet another conference game and remain at the bottom of the conference with the season dwindling to a close
The (1-9) Georgia State Panthers lost another conference game on Saturday, falling to the visiting Old Dominion by the score of 53-27, as the Panthers disappointing season continued.
With the loss, the Panthers remained in the CAA basement, just one spot ahead of the last place residing (0-9) Rhode Island Rams. At best, Georgia State can tie for second last in the conference.
It is quite competitive atop the CAA standings, though, with three teams all within one game (or tied) with each other for the lead. Currently, New Hampshire leads with Old Dominion and James Madison just one game behind.
Looking ahead of the three teams' schedules, there could be several tie-breakers at place to decide the winner. But it could be the showdown between Old Dominion and James Madison, which is the last game of the season for the teams.
The Panthers have just one win on the season, which also happened to be against a conference opponent, but will get one more opportunity to improve on their record when they travel to take on the (3-6) Maine Black Bears on Saturday, Nov. 10.
