Georgia jumps out to a 7-0 lead over Alabama as Aaron Murray finds tight end Jay Rome on a 19-yard touchdown pass. The play capped off a 13 play, 87-yard drive for the Bulldogs. Georgia's drive looked like it had stalled to start the second quarter however, they executed a perfect fake punt with Arthur Lynch passing to Sanders Commings to pick up the first down.
Murray is now 7-11 for 75 yards and the Bulldogs have had some success when they have had the time to throw the ball down the field. Todd Gurley has six carries for 32 yards.
Both teams have now attempted a fake punt. Alabama's attempt looked like it would have been successful had it not been blown dead due to a delay of game penalty. Georgia's was perfectly designed and perfectly executed but just shows that both teams are prepared to pull out all of the stops in this game.
