Alabama vs. Georgia: Jarvis Jones not interested in talking NFL future

John David Mercer-USA TODAY Spor

The Bulldogs came up just short of the BCS title game on Saturday, and Jarvis Jones wasn't going to spend any time talking about his NFL decision.

Georgia's Jarvis Jones did all he could to push the Bulldogs past the Crimson Tide in the SEC title game, but now that he's fallen short of an SEC championship, some have started to talk about his pro career.

The junior outside linebacker who had six tackles and two sacks against Alabama to add to his 77 tackles, 12.5 sacks, 22.5 tackles for loss and seven forced fumbles this season, could be the number one pick in the draft come April.

But after the crushing loss in the Georgia Dome, Jones told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution that he (officially, at least) wasn't sure where he would be next season.

"I don't, man; it's not decision time for me," said Jones, who had six tackles and two sacks Saturday. "Right now I'm going to focus on the rest of our season. We've still got a couple more weeks."

While it seems a foregone conclusion that he will go to the NFL next year -- and become a defensive force much like former Texas A&M linebacker Von Miller has become for the Broncos -- nobody can blame Jones for being mum on the subject, especially after his team came up just one play short.
