Howard Smith-US PRESSWIRE
Carolina might be without the services of their battering ram running back, as well as key linebacker James Anderson and top tight end Greg Olsen.
Carolina Panthers running back Jonathan Stewart is doubtful to appear in the team's Week 14 matchup against the division-leading Atlanta Falcons this Sunday.
Stewart was one of seven Panthers listed on the team's injury report update on Friday. The running back has been dealing with ankle issues all season long, after he was carted off in a preseason game following a big hit from New York Jets safety LaRon Landry. He's also not the only Panther to appear on the injury report. Top tight end Greg Olsen (back) is probable for the matchup against Atlanta. Olsen is second on the team in catches, and returned to full participation in practice on Friday.
Linebacker James Anderson (back, eye) is listed as questionable, and it would be a real blow to the Panthers' hopes of springing an upset if he is unable to play. The seventh-year player out of Virginia Tech is third on the team in tackles, and has not practiced all week.
Here's the full list.
| Name | Position | Injury | Status |
| James Anderson | LB | Back, Eye | Questionable |
| Jeff Byers | C | Back | Questionable |
| Dwan Edwards | DT | Wrist | Questionable |
| Charles Godfrey | S | Back | Questionable |
| Brandon LaFell | WR | Toe | Questionable |
| Greg Olsen | TE | Back | Probable |
| Jonathan Stewart | RB | Ankle | Doubtful |
