The Kentucky Wildcats are off and running after knocking off Western Kentucky 81-66 in the second-round of the 2012 NCAA Tournament. The Wildcats jumped out to a big lead and cruised to the victory behind strong games from Terrance Jones and Anthony Davis.
Jones finished with 22 points and 10 rebounds while Davis added 16 points, nine rebounds and seven blocks. Doron Lamb scored 16 points and Marquise Teague finished with 12 points and four assists.
T.J. Price scored 21 points to lead the Hilltoppers. George Fant and Kahlil McDonald finished with 13 points each. Derrick Gordon added 12 points in the loss.
Kentucky advances where it will take on the winner of the Iowa State-Connecticut matchup on Saturday.
