Wichita State Vs. VCU Final Score: Rams Upset Shockers 62-59

VCU is no stranger to success in the NCAA Tournament. They picked up right where they left off last season pulling an upset over the No. 5 seed Wichita State 62-59. Darius Theus' runner in the lane with just 18 seconds remaining put the Rams up by three. Garrett Stutz missed a desperation attempt at the buzzer sealing the victory for VCU.

Bradford Burgess scored 16 points to lead the Rams. Darius Theus and Troy Daniels scored 10 points each in the win. Joe Ragland led the Shockers with 15 points while Toure' Murry and Carl Hall finished with 10 points each.

VCU advances to take on the winner of the Indiana-New Mexico State matchup.
