The Kentucky Wildcats wasted little time in jumping out to a big 42-22 lead over Baylor at halftime. Kentucky's defense has been solid holding Baylor to 32 percent shooting while recording six steals and five blocks.

Those steals and blocks helped ignite the Wildcats' fast break leading to a lot of easy chances for Michael Kidd-Gilchrist and Anthony Davis. Kidd-Gilchrist leads Kentucky with 17 points in the first half on 6-7 shooting. Anthony Davis added 14 points and six rebounds. Terrance Jones scored only one point but has five rebounds, six assists, two steals and three blocks at the break.

Quincy Acy has been the lone bright spot for the Bears with 10 points. Pierre Jackson has six points and three assists but no other Baylor player has more than three. Perry Jones III has been non-existent with two points and three turnovers while hitting only one of five attempts from the field.
