The Atlanta Hawks roster and potential trade rumors have been run through the mill in recent weeks, and will look to continue as there are 10 days remaining until the March 15th trade deadline. From Marvin Williams and Kirk Hinrich to Josh Smith and Joe Johnson, it seems that no one has been immune from a potential relocation from Atlanta. SB Nation's NBA Columnist Tom Ziller recently released his MVP Rankings on Monday, and the Hawks come in at No. 14.

| Barring another major injury or some shake-up trades in the ATL, the Hawks aren't going to get caught by the Knicks, and maybe not the Celtics, either. Given the outlook when Al Horford went down, that's some kind of minor miracle. | ||||
A point about Horford, which could serve as a huge roster addition for a team that has had their depth chart tested this season. Could this team be any different than what we've seen in previous years? With the emergence of Jeff Teague and veteran additions like Tracy McGrady and Willie Green, the Hawks could look to be a tough out in the East.

When the Atlanta Hawks have to deal with injuries, it seems like the team will rally and play more inspired and determined. Case in point, after Al Horford went down for the season with his shoulder injury, the Hawks won 8 of their next 10 games. Now with Joe Johnson sitting out the last two games, the Hawks have won two in a row. Small sample size I'll admit, but the one constant in the equation has been the mercurial home grown talent that is Josh Smith.
Simply put, Josh Smith has been balling after the All-Star break. Check out his last three games and his stat lines.
Atlanta loses to Golden State, 85-82: Smith's worst game as he couldn't finish around the rim, as noted by his 5-20 shooting performance. Still, 14 points, 10 rebounds and 2 blocks isn't bad in a game that ATL had every chance to win.
Atlanta defeats Milwaukee, 99-94: 24 points, 19 rebounds, 4 assists and 3 blocks. The man does everything.
Atlanta defeats Oklahoma City, 97-90: 30 points, 12 rebounds, 4 assists, and one posterization on the best defender of the rim in the NBA, Mr. Serge Ibaka. (Does the finger wag)
Smith's averaging 22.7 points, 13.7 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 2.0 blocks per game, and although he was snubbed from the All-Star game, there's no doubt that Smith has been one of the best power forwards in the league this year. Josh Smith for MVP? Maybe Tom Ziller will give him some MVP love on Wednesday, because who knows where this team would be without him.

The Atlanta Hawks were able to upset the Oklahoma City Thunder 97-90 without their best player Joe Johnson. The Hawks were led by Josh Smith who scored 30 points with 13 of those coming in the fourth quarter to hold off the Thunder. Smith had a pair of huge dunks late in the fourth quarter to give the Hawks an eight-point lead with 4:41 left in the game.

The Hawks are looking to pull off the upset against the Thunder who have the best record in the NBA.

That lead was not safe as Kevin Durant scored eight of his 35 points over the last four minutes of the game, but the last points for the Thunder came with 1:47 left in the game. Smith then finished off the Thunder by scoring the next five points to give the Hawks the 97-90 to win.
