Kentucky Vs. Kansas Final Score: Wildcats Bring Home Championship 67-59

John Calipari finally captures that elusive first national championship as his Kentucky Wildcats held off Kansas 67-59. Kentucky led comfortably for most of the night before a late run by the Jayhawks made things interesting. Kansas used an 8-0 run to cut a 15 point lead to just seven with 3:22 remaining.

Marquis Teague would stop that run with a three pointer but Kansas would answer back and eventually get as close as five points, 62-57 with 1:11 remaining. The Jayhawks wouldn't get any closer however thanks to some good free throw shooting from Teague and Doron Lamb in the game's final moments.

Lamb scored a game-high 22 points hitting 7-12 shots and three three-pointers. Marquis Teague added 14 points while Michael Kidd-Gilchrist finished with 11.

Anthony Davis didn't have a great night offensively but made up for it in other areas finishing with six points, 16 rebounds, five assists, six blocks and three steals. Davis length made it real tough on the Kansas frontcourt combination of Thomas Robinson and Jeff Withey throughout the game.

Tyshawn Taylor led the Jayhawks with 19 points while Robinson added 18 and 17 rebounds. Robinson however was just 6-17 from the floor. Elijah Johnson added 13 points while Withey finished with five points, seven rebounds and four blocks.
