2012 College Baseball: Georgia Tech Opens Three Game Series With Clemson On Friday

Georgia Tech opens a key three-game ACC series with Clemson on Friday at Russ Chandler Stadium

The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets have won four of their last five games including a 2-1 series win over North Carolina and a 4-3 win over Georgia at Turner Field on Tuesday. Clemson comes to town with a 24-18 record and a 12-9 conference mark. The Yellow Jackets are 25-17 and 9-12 in the conference and locked in a battle for one of the final spots in the ACC Tournament.

Buck Farmer (6-3, 3.26 ERA) will take the mound for the Yellow Jackets on Friday and will be opposed by Clemson's Kevin Brady (1-2, 2.58 ERA). Dusty Isaacs (5-2, 6.75 ERA) will follow on Saturday for the Yellow Jackets while the Tigers will counter with Dominic Leone (6-3, 4.92 ERA). Game 3 starters will be freshman Cole Pitts (4-3, 4.38 ERA) for Tech and sophomore Kevin Pohle (4-2, 3.00 ERA) for Clemson.
