One green jacket dream has already ended before the entire field has even teed off at Augusta:
Mark O'Meara has withdrawn from the Masters with a pulled muscle in his ribs.
— PGA TOUR (@PGATOUR) April 5, 2012
O'Meara was scheduled to tee off at 11:08 am ET, along with Chez Reavie and Martin Laird, and had played a practice round with friend Tiger Woods earlier in the week and took part in a rain-shortened Par 3 contest.
O'Meara has played in three PGA events in 2012, making the cut in one. He has 16 career wins and 119 career Top 10 finishes. Thursday was O'Meara's 29th Masters, a tournament he won once in 1998. O'Meara hasn't made the cut for The Masters since 2005, when he finished 31st.
O'Meara joins fellow American Dustin Johnson, who pulled out of the tournament due to a back injury.
