College Football Hall of Fame 2012: Former Falcons LB Mark Simoneau Inducted

When the names were read for the 2012 class of inductees into the College Football Hall of Fame, Steve Bartkowski was not the only Atlanta Falcons alumnus to make it in. Mark Simoneau was also announced as an inductee.

The Falcons selected the linebacker in the third round of the 2000 NFL Draft, as the No. 67 overall pick. Simoneau played with Atlanta from 2000 to 2002 and was traded to the Philadelphia Eagles in March of 2003. Simoneau enjoyed an 11-year NFL career before his retirement in 2010. He racked up 370 tackles and seven sacks in the league.

Simoneau is inducted for his accomplishments as a member of the Kansas St. Wildcats, where he played for four years and was named the 1999 Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year and a consensus All-American. He becomes just the second K-State player ever inducted into the Hall of Fame.
