The 2012 SEC Softball Tournament gets underway on at Rhoads Stadium in Tuscaloosa.
The 2012 SEC Softball Tournament begins on Thursday, May 10 with four games on the opening day of the tourney. Rhoads Stadium and the University of Alabama will host the three-day tournament with the Crimson Tide claiming the top seed.
Georgia captures the fourth seed and will take on fifth-seeded Kentucky in the third game (4:00 p.m.) on Thursday. The Bulldogs lost two of their three meetings with the Wildcats during the regular season losing the season series for only the second time in program history. The Bulldogs were no hit by Kentucky's sophomore pitcher Lauren Cumbess during that series.
