Stay connected for news and updates

Dan Uggla was voted to start at second base by the fans for the 2012 MLB All-Star game and the right handed slugger is hoping for an invite into the Home Run Derby.

Uggla has 201 home runs in his career and has 11 this season. This will be Uggla's third All-Star game in his career having gone in 2006 and 2008 as a member of the Florida Marlins. Uggla hit a career high 36 home runs in his first season with the Braves despite getting off to a very slow start. After a good start to the season Uggla has been slumping of late and has saw his batting average drop all the way to .235.
