The Atlanta Hawks will face off against former players Marvin Williams and the Utah Jazz on January 11th and Joe Johnson and the Brooklyn Nets on January 16th.

New general manager Danny Ferry came in this summer and made his impact felt immediately. He managed to rid the team of the albatross that was the contracts of Joe Johnson and Marvin Williams to the Brooklyn Nets and Utah Jazz, respectively.

He also somehow convinced the team's only star, Josh Smith, to stick around for a little while longer.

Fans may feel the team is headed towards mediocrity, but Ferry has a plan for the 2012-2013 season and we get to see that plan beginning November 2nd when they host the Houston Rockets at Phillips Arena.

Marvin Williams comes to town to face his old team for the first time on January 11th and five days later, Joe Johnson comes back to his old stomping grounds with his Brooklyn squad on January 16th.
