SB Nation Preseason All-Americans: Omoregle Uzzi Named Top Offensive Lineman

Stay connected for news and updates

The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets are known for having one of the best running games in the nation. At the front of any running game is an offensive line that can get that push against defensive lines. Georgia Tech offensive lineman Omoregie Uzzi was named an honorable mention All-American according to SB Nation.

Despite missing all of spring practice with an injury, Uzzi started all 12 regular season games for the Yellow Jackets last season. In that season he helped the Yellow Jackets lead the ACC in rushing offense, total offense, fewest sacks allowed and third down conversion percentage.

Uzzi was named first-team all-ACC last year, third-team All-American by Rivals.com and second team All-American by Sports Illustrated. The only concern with Uzzi should be his durability, given that he missed the Sun Bowl last season and all of spring practice.
