Georgia Tech Football Preseason: David Scully Takes Lead At Kicker

Stay connected for news and updates

The roles have been reversed for the kickers on the Georgia Tech depth chart. David Scully has now surpassed Justin Moore as the lead placekicker, though he handled most of the kickoff duties in 2011.

Moore ranked fifth in the ACC in points per game last season and was a perfect 56-for-56 on PATs. But Moore's field goal percentage ranked eight in the league, so perhaps the Yellow Jackets see more potential there from Scully, the redshirt junior.

Ken Sugiura of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution noted that a lot of these moves could be made to get the attention of the players demoted. So Scully and Moore could very well go back and forth in terms of primary kicking duties this season.

Take a look a the full depth chart here.
