2012 MLB Standings: Braves Head Into Pivotal Series 5 Back Of Nationals

The Atlanta Braves head to Washington for a key N.L. East division matchup trailing the Nationals by five games.

The Atlanta Braves head to Washington for a pivotal series in the National League East race five games back of the Washington Nationals. If the Braves are hoping to keep the pressure on the Nationals then this may be their last chance before they are forced to focus solely on the wild card race.

The Braves come into Monday's series opener having lost two straight to the Dodgers at home. The Nationals have won seven of 10 after taking two out of three from the New York Mets over the weekend.
