The Atlanta Braves dropped their second consecutive game on the road to the San Francisco Giants Friday night at AT&T Park, 5-3. The losses have moved Atlanta 6.5 games back of the NL East-leading Washington Nationals.
Atlanta will send Mike Minor to the mound Saturday while San Francisco will start Madison Bumgarner on the hill. Both pitchers are left-handers.
Minor has pitched well this season. He has a 2.29 ERA and has held opponents to a .217 batting average in his last eight starts and enters Saturday's game with a 6-10 record.
The Braves trail the Nationals by 6.5 games in the NL East. The Giants lead the Dodgers by three games in the NL West.
