Angel McCoughtry remains suspended and missed her second consecutive game Thursday night. New Dream head coach and general manager Fred Williams discussed his meeting with McCoughtry on Wednesday and laid out what the All-Star forward must do to get reinstated.
"It's day-to-day," said Williams by phone this afternoon about the status of McCoughtry. "For now, she remains suspended and will not play tonight. We had a great meeting. We talked and set some guidelines that were put on paper, we reviewed and thoroughly went over the team rules that we already have in the player rulebook. She has to abide by team rules -- that's it, plain and simple."
The two parties are scheduled to meet again on Friday. The Dream defeated the Washington Mystics 82-59 on Thursday night and evened their record at 13-13.
Williams also indicated that several teams had inquired about McCoughtry's availability before Thursday's trade deadline but he had no intention of moving her.

After a disappointing loss on Tuesday, the Atlanta Dream bounced back with a 82-59 win over the Washington Mystics. The win is the first for Fred Williams as the team's head coach and evens their record at 13-13. Atlanta played its second straight game without Angel McCoughtry who remains suspended despite meeting with Williams on Wednesday.
Atlanta struggled offensively in the early going and saw the Mystics take a 33-31 lead into halftime. However, the Dream would find their offensive rhythm in the third quarter forcing Washington into turnovers which ignited their transition game. Atlanta outscored Washington 26-15 in the third quarter and 51-26 in the second half to cruise home to the victory.
Erika de Souza led the way for the Dream finishing with a double-double 21 points and 10 rebounds. Lindsey Harding added 16 points, five assists and three steals while rookie Tiffany Hayes added 15 points. Sancho Lyttle added 11 points, nine boards and four assists. Monique Currie led the Mystics with 14 points while Crystal Langhorne added 13. Washington turned the ball over 20 times which led to 19 points for the Dream.
Atlanta is back in action on Sunday when they host the Connecticut Sun.

Suspended forward Angel McCoughtry met with head coach Fred Williams briefly in his office on Wednesday and received a written list of requirements that she must sign and comply with before being reinstated.
''I spoke with her briefly today, and we laid out some things on paper,'' Williams told The Associated Press Wednesday. ''Until the terms we laid out are agreed upon and signed, sealed and met, she is still suspended.''
Williams indicated that he did not know whether or not McCoughtry would sign the list of demands prior to the team's shootaround on Thursday.
Atlanta suffered a rare home loss to the Tulsa Shock on Tuesday in Williams' debut as head coach. The team announced just prior to tip off on Tuesday that McCoughtry had been suspended indefinitely for the violation of team rules. The timing odd given that 24 hours earlier the Dream had announced the departure of head coach and general manager Marynell Meadors who looked like the loser in a power struggle with the All-Star.
